On 7838 m2 virgin land owned by the Gibran National Committee at Bsharreh, the “Jabal Al Arz” Institute that is founded by MP Sethrida Geagea has built a public garden and a cultural center. The project was funded by Mr. Carlos slim.
The inauguration that was held on August 23rd, 2014 was attended by Dr. Tarek Chidiac President of the GNC, MPs Sethrida Geagea & Elie Kayrouz, Mr. Carlos Slim’s representative Dr. Ziad Hayek, Vicar General Bishop Maroun Ammar, Mayor of Bsharreh District Ms. Ruba Chafchaq, president of the Municipalities Federation of Bsharreh district Mr. Elie Makhlouf, mayors of the region, coordinators of the Lebanese Forces, and a crowd of fathers and nuns.
