In collaboration with the Gibran National Committee and the Beirut Lotus Lions Club, a cultural event entitled “A Meeting with Gibran Khalil Gibran” took place at the Tournesol Theater – Tayyouneh – Beirut on November 30th. 2014.

The cultural event that aimed to introduce Gibran to the youth included:

• An Exhibition of some of Gibran’s paintings (reproduction)
• أعطني الناي وغنّي" song, sang by Reverent Jean Jabbour on his Aoud
• A lecture prepared and presented by Dr. Tarek Chidiac, President of the GNC explicating the impact of Bsharreh environment on Gibran and demonstrating Gibran’s social ideology through some of his paintings. (screened to the audience)
• Graphical dances
• Texts reading
• Short movie displaying entitled “The Final Dwelling”, presented the environment in which Gibran was raised, directed by Miled Tawk, prepared by Jean Kassis and financed by the GNC
• Toast of the occasion

It is worth mentioning that the revenue of the event was set to finance a medical campaign organized by Shiyah Municipality on 14/12/2014.
